"(...) The story of Barravento is about a group of poor fishermen in a region of Bahia. One of them, having lived in the city, attempts to free them from their old beliefs and from their slavery, using for that the most diabolic means. The presence of the sea, considered a deity, the music, the dance, the ceremonies and the ritual sacrifices are the essential elements of the narrative. (...)"
